Aragija, Komba to face CHAN
Tanzanian referees Ahmed Arajiga and Frank Komba are among the 63 referees appointed to officiate the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 to be held from February 1 to February 28, this year.
Aragija and Komba are on the preliminary list of referees to be selected for the qualifiers for the finals to be held in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
The list includes 25 referees, 22 assistant referees and 16 video assistant referees (VAR).
Other referees are Messie Nvoulou, Bito Frank, Malala Yannick, Ouattara Jean, Kpan Franklin, Abdulsalam Abiola, Adissa Ligali, Aklesso Linama, Melki Mehrez, Loutfi Bekouassa, Ahmed Mahmoud, Ahmed Abdulrazg, Kech Mustapha, Rakotojaona Andofetra, Milazare Patrice, Celso Alvacao, Jelly Chavani, Mohamed Athoumani, Nyagrowa Mimisa, Lucky Kasalirwe, Mogos Tsegay, Jammeh Lamin, Diouf Adalbert and Ousmane Diakhate.
Other assistant referees are Ngila Bongele, Rodrigue Mpele, Malondi Yanes, Addy Dodoo, Oumar Sanou, Samuel Pwadutakam, Yacouba Aziz, Nassiri Hamza, Adel Abane, Wael Hanachi, Amaldine Soulaimane, Lucky Kegalogetswe, Mutuyimana Dieudonne, Fasika Yehualashet, Omer Ahmed, Emery Niyongabo, Mwangi Kuria, Ronald Katenya, Joel Doe, Diba Hamedine and Jawo AbduAziz.
On VAR are Kabore Vincent, Abou Coulibaly, Brahamou Sadou, Boukhalfa Nabil, Hamza El Fariq, Haggag Ibrahim, Badi Luxolo, Ngakosso Chancelle, Nguiene Pierre, Brighton Chimene, Abdalaziz Ahmed, Dintwa Keabetswe, Twagimurukiza Abdoul, Sarr Ababacar and Diou Moussa.
Arajiga is the best referee in the Premier League last season and Komba is the best assistant referee for four seasons in a row.
